John Banta serves as Chairman of Tetravitae Bioscience. He is Managing Director of IllinoisVENTURES, an early-stage technology investment firm named by Entrepreneur magazine to its 2005 list of the top 100 venture capital firms nationally. Prior to founding IllinoisVENTURES, where he also heads the firm's energy practice area, John served as President/COO of DigitalWork, Inc., a Draper Fisher Jurvetson/TL Ventures portfolio company, and as SVP of Corporate Services for UBS PaineWebber.
